Occupational Therapy Home Care Services

Occupational therapy home care services help patients perform the everyday activities they want and need to do. Our focus is to provide practical therapeutic services and adapt the home environment to optimize lifestyle goals. Active In-Home Therapy provides a comprehensive evaluation of a client’s home and other environments (e.g., workplace, school), recommends adaptive equipment, and provides training for the use of such equipment. We also offer guidance and education to family members and caregivers. Our clients are an integral part of our team. Additionally, our occupational therapists work with other Active In-Home Therapists to coordinate and optimize rehabilitative care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Occupational therapy teaches how to do things many of us take for granted, like toilet hygiene, dressing, eating unassisted, and socializing. People of all ages receive occupational therapy to help them participate in the activities of daily life.

Home-based therapy helps to maximize a person’s activity level in their own home. Occupational therapists take into account the home layout and equipment requirements when creating a personalized plan for care.
