Vision Screening and Vision Therapy

Multi Bar
Vision is among the top 10 disabilities in older adults, people with visual impairments are three to four times more likely to have difficulty completing ADLs (activities of daily living) including medication management, bathing, preparing a meal, participating in the community, and walking. Occupational therapists assess and treat to promote independent living, adaptations for work and/or home through activity analysis and environmental modifications. Our occupational therapists will assess how vision impairs the persons ability to participate in daily tasks, leisure activities, community access and participation as well as assess the need for a neuro-optometrist consultation. Our goal is to make the activities of daily living as safe and enjoyable as possible.
